In a world where nothing is certain, we need things we can count on. Two cultural touchstones are clichés and icons. There have been yellow duckies floating in bathtubs since 1949.  Some duck sayings date back a hundred years or more, but are still used today. Clichés are to words what icons are to images. Understanding the puns are as effortless as water off a duck's back.
